            ABOUT US

Since opening in December 2013, Little Beginnings Academy Private Day Home Inc. has been committed to providing high-quality child care in a safe, nurturing, and home-based setting. I believe that strong, caring relationships are the heart of early childhood development. At Little Beginnings Academy , children are welcomed into a warm and supportive environment where they can feel secure, confident, and free to grow. Through daily interactions and play, children build essential social skills, independence, and a love for learning. The program is thoughtfully planned to reflect each child’s individual needs and interests. Our days are filled with hands-on experiences like sensory play, music and movement, dramatic play, and language-rich activities. I strive to offer a balance of structure and flexibility that encourages creativity, curiosity, and exploration. Little Beginnings Academy is more than a day home—it’s a place where children and families feel connected, supported, and valued. I’m proud to be a part of each child’s early journey and to create a space where they can truly thrive.

What is the age range of the children you accept?

Little Beginnings Academy Private Day Home Inc. accepts children aged 10 months to 5 years of age.

Do you accept subsidy?

I provide families with a child care receipt. You'll need the receipt to claim your T778: Child Care Expenses Deduction.

Here's some helpful information about claiming child care expenses at tax time.

You can claim the fees you pay for care as a child care expense deduction. This deduction reduces your taxable income . The CRA sets this rule, and it applies even if the higher-income parent paid the fees.

There are a few exceptions.

There are also annual limits set by the CRA. for example:

- Up to $8,000 for children under 7

- Up to $5,000 for children aged 7 to 16

- Up to $11,000 for a child who qualifies for the Disability Tax Credit

The amount you claim is also capped at two-thirds of your earned income.

To claim your expenses, complete Form T778 when filing your taxes. You don't need to submit receipts with your return, but please keep them in case the CRA asks.

These tax deductions can seem complex, but understanding your qualifying child care expenses is a sure way for Canadian families to save money. Always refer to the official CRA guidelines on their website.
